Export authorization lifted a Latin American-focused Canadian cannabis stock Monday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Monday, November 25, 2019 (as of 4 pm EST):
Khiron Life Sciences Corp. (TSXV:KHRN), a Canadian cannabis stock with core operations in Latin America, climbed 7% to $1.03 on Monday after announcing that it has become the first and, to date, only cannabis company in Colombia authorized to commercialize psychoactive, high-THC cannabis for both domestic and export purposes, which includes authorization to export of whole plant extract to Uruguay and Brazil.
As well, shares of AgJunction Inc. (TSX:AJX) slipped as much as 10% before ending the day 4% higher at $0.37 as the provider of advanced guidance and autosteering solutions for precision agriculture applications said it has received a notice of allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for a patent titled “Hydraulic Interrupter Safety System and Method,” a hydraulic steering interrupter that is manually activated and independent of the automated, computerized steering controls.
Tetra Bio-Pharma Inc. (TSXV:TBP), meanwhile, reported that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has authorized the advancement of Plenitude, the Company’s clinical trial for its investigational therapeutic QIXLEEF (PPP001) for the treatment of uncontrolled pain in advanced cancer patients. Tetra Bio-Pharma stock popped 25% to $0.25 following the announcement.
Finally, PetroTal Corp. (TSXV:TAL) shares jumped 7% to $0.38 after the oil and gas producer announced that drilling of its second horizontal well, located on the Bretaña field in Peru, is progressing according to budget and timeline and, thus, the Company has increased its year-end production guidance from 10,000 BOPD to 11,000 – 13,000 BOPD.
