Small
stocks making big moves on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 (as of 4 pm EST), as

WiLAN Inc. (TSX: WIN) shares climbed 14% to $3.03 on volume of more
than 2.5 million shares Tuesday after the wireless patent licensing company announced
that its wholly-owned subsidiary has signed a multi-year license agreement with
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. related to the Qimonda patent portfolio acquired
by WiLAN from Infineon Technologies AG. As a result, WiLAN increased its
Q2 revenue guidance from US$18.3 million to US$34 million.
As well,
shares of Cardiff Energy Corp. (TSXV:
CRS) jumped 6% to $0.17 as the junior oil and gas company said it has
agreed to issue up to 7 million units at $0.15 per unit, the proceeds of which will
be used for drilling and completion of the Clayton #1 H and general working
capital purposes. Insiders of the company will subscribe for a minimum of 3.5
million units of the financing.
BIOREM Inc. (TSXV:
BRM), meanwhile, reported first-quarter revenue that increased 138% to $4.7
million, while swinging to profit of $528,000. Biorem designs and manufactures a
line of air emissions control systems used to eliminate odors, volatile organic
compounds (VOCs), and hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). Its stock moved up
45% to $0.29 following the announcement.
Finally,
Electrovaya Inc. (TSX:
EFL) shares gained 6% to $0.84 after the manufacturer of Lithium Ion Super
Polymer 2.0 batteries, battery systems, and battery-related products for energy
storage, clean electric transportation and other specialized applications
announced that it has receives an order for SEPARION from a leading Chinese battery
company. SEPARION™ is a ceramic embedded composite separator with high
temperature properties, which the company claims improves safety and cycle life
to lithium ion batteries.
