Wireless Stock Jumps on Strategic Alliance: Today’s Canadian Small Cap Market Movers

Edgewater Wireless Systems Inc. (TSXV:
YFI
) shares climbed 11% to $0.30 on volume of more than 9.2 million shares
Tuesday after the multi-channel WiFi solutions provided announced it has formed
a strategic alliance with Zinwave, a supplier of wideband DAS technology for
in-building wireless and IP coverage, to integrate Edgewater’ WiFi3 into Zinwave’s
DAS offering to provide the industry’s first dedicated high density,
multi-channel wireless and Wi-Fi coverage solution.

As well,
shares of Naturally Splendid Enterprises
Ltd.
(TSXV:
NSP
) slipped 12% to $0.51 as the distributor of plant-based omega products said
it has proposed a private placement offering of a minimum of 3 million units up
to a maximum of 6 million units at a price of $0.50 per unit for minimum gross
proceeds of $1.5 million and maximum gross proceeds of $3 million.  

Coastal Gold Corp. (TSXV:
COD
), meanwhile, reported that it has accepted an increased offer to be acquired
by First Mining Finance Corp. (FMF), in which each outstanding Coastal Gold common
share will be exchanged for 0.1625 of a FMF common share. Coastal Gold stock
moved up 25% to $0.05 following the announcement.  

Finally, Petro-Victory Energy Corp. (TSXV:
VRY
) shares gained 50% to $0.045 after the oil and gas producer/explorer confirmed
that the dispute with President Energy PLC over its Pirity concession in
Paraguay has now been amicably resolved.
