Uranium Junior Jumps on Merger News: Today’s Canadian Small Cap Market Movers

Alpha Exploration Inc. (TSXV:
AEX
) shares climbed 60% to $0.04 on more than 1.4 million shares traded Thursday
after the company said it plans to merge with Lakeland Resources Inc. (TSX:
LK
) to create an Athabasca Basin-focused uranium exploration company. Alpha
Exploration shareholders will receive one share of Lakeland for every two Alpha
shares held following a 1-for-3 consolidation of Lakeland Resources common
stock.  

As well,
shares of Superior Plus Corp. (TSX:
SPB
) slipped 12% to $11.46 as the energy services, specialty chemicals, and
construction products distribution company slashed its adjusted operating
cash flow per share to $1.65 to $1.85 from $1.80 to $2.10, due to a reduced
outlook for the Specialty Chemicals business for the third and fourth quarters
of 2015 in addition to lower than expected results for the second quarter of
2015. 

Titan Logix Corp. (TSXV:
TLA
), meanwhile, reported that its third-quarter sales slid 41% to $2,570,724.
The company manufactures advanced technology fluid management solutions. Titan
Logix stock dropped 17% to $1 following the announcement.
