4 Lithium Juniors Defying the Sector Sell Off

The lithium juniors on our list have retained positive three-month returns despite the recent struggles of most lithium stocks

SmallCapPower | March 19, 2018: After Sociedad Quimica y Minera (NYSE:SQM) resolved its labour dispute with Corfo, the Chilean government’s mining agency, allowing for resumption of work in exchange for payments and increased royalties, lithium stocks throughout the world have declined. The Global X Lithium ETF fell 11% over the past three months, and the five largest Canadian lithium companies have decreased an average of 19%, compared to the TSX-V, which increased 3% over the same period. In contrast, the lithium juniors on our list today averaged 25% returns over the past three months and could see strong upward momentum should lithium prices rally.

American Lithium Corp. (TSXV:LI) – $0.74

American Lithium is a Canada-based lithium developer operating in Nevada. The Company operates two exploratory lithium brine projects, the Fish Lake property and the San Emidio property, totaling 22,000 acres. LI recently closed a $4.2M private placement and acquired additional holdings at its Fish Lake property.

The site hosts historical reserves of 320,000t grading 2.0% Li2O, and recent drilling including one hole that assayed 1.7% Li2O over 16.5m.
