A tech stock lit up after a spherical metal powder production update Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, March 30, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):
Tech stock PyroGenesis Canada Inc. (TSXV: PYR) jumped 22% to $0.47 on Thursday after announcing that it has completed the assembly of its first powder production system, with the first powder run exceeding “expectations in terms of powder quality and production rate.” The Company added that it is “surprised” by the continued interest it is receiving for the supply of its powders from potential customers. PyroGenesis’ System uses Plasma Atomization to make small, uniform, fully dense and spherical metal powders for the Additive Manufacturing industry, which includes 3D Printing.
As well, shares of Durango Resources Inc. (TSXV: DGO) sank 32% to $0.115 as the junior explorer said it has entered into an options agreement under which BonTerra Resources Inc. (TSXV: BTR) can earn a 100% interest in Durango’s Trove Windfall Lake Property located in the Quebec.
Crystal Exploration Inc. (TSXV: CEI), meanwhile, reported that will acquire North Arrow Minerals’ Contwoyto Project in Nunavut, including the Butterfly gold prospect, in exchange for $100,000 in cash and one million Crystal Exploration shares. Crystal Exploration stock moved up 32% to $0.125 following the announcement.
Finally, Black Iron Inc. (TSX: BKI) shares climbed 14% to $0.12 after the iron ore junior announced that its wholly-owned Ukrainian subsidiary has obtained approval from the Kryviy Rih City Council to prepare a land allotment plan in connection with Shymanivske Steel’s proposal to lease the surface rights for the Shymanivske iron ore project from the city of Kryviy Rih.
