IBC Advanced Alloys Corp. (TSXV:
IB) shares surged 22% to $0.11 on Wednesday after the provider of advanced
alloys and precision castings announced that it has received a purchase order
from UTC Aerospace Systems to supply advanced Beralcast components for critical
imaging systems used on a variety of U.S. and foreign military aircraft.
As well, shares of Amorfix Life Sciences Ltd. (TSX:
AMF) shot up 83% to $0.055 as biotechnology company focused on diagnostics
and therapeutics for misfolded protein diseases said it has completed the
optimization of the EP-AD Alzheimer’s disease diagnostic and will seek a
strategic partner for further development and commercialization of the assay.
Iona
Energy Inc. (TSXV:
INA), meanwhile, reported the resumption of normal operations at the Huntington
field in the UK North Sea. The Huntington field had been operating under gas
export rate restrictions since October 2014, which has reduced the rate of oil
production. Iona has a 15% working interest in the Huntington field. Iona
Energy stock popped 30% to $0.07 following the announcement.
Finally, FLYHT Aerospace Solutions Ltd. (TSXV:
FLY) shares climbed 25% to $0.25 after the provider of real-time data
communications technology for the aviation industry announced a 14.5% increase
in its fourth-quarter revenue to $2,218,681.
