Trading in a solar energy stock heated up Tuesday following a LG Electronics order. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 (as of 4 pm EST):
Solar energy stock Aurora Solar Technologies Inc. (CVE:ACU) powered 31% higher to $0.17 on Tuesday after announcing that it has received an order from LG Electronics Inc., located in South Korea, for 12 Decima CDs and multiple Veritas Servers, which is expected to ship before the end of February 2017.
As well, shares of Essential Energy Services Ltd. (TSE:ESN) rose 13% to $0.76 as the oilfield services company said it has agreed to sell its service rig business to Precision Drilling Corporation for approximately $28 million. Precision will pay for the Service Rig Business with the transfer of its coil tubing and pumping assets and cash proceeds of $12 million.
Mission Ready Services Inc. (CVE:MRS), meanwhile, reported that it has received the first order for its No-Contact Riot Shield Covers for use in a military application. Mission Ready Services stock moved up 14% to $0.12 following the announcement.
Finally, Enerdynamic Hybrid Technologies Corp. (CVE:EHT) shares gained 58% to $0.205 after Maple Leaf Holdings SA, a company in which EHT is a shareholder, announced Monday the signing of a Letter of Intent to build 50,000 homes in Ivory Coast for a branch of the military.
