Small

Intermap Technologies Corporation (TSX:
IMP) shares skyrocketed 615% to $0.465 on volume of more than 15.1 million shares
Tuesday after the provider of on-demand geospatial solutions announced that a
consortium led by the Company was issued with a governmental letter of award
for the creation, operation and maintenance of a national spatial data
infrastructure (SDI) program. The scope of work for the initial 2-year SDI
implementation phase is valued at greater than $125 million, with product
delivery expected to begin during the third quarter of 2015. Intermap will also
provide an operation and maintenance module valued at greater than $50 million
for an additional 18-year period.
As well,
shares of UrtheCast Corp. (TSX:
UR) slipped 4% to $4.75 as the developer of the world’s first Ultra HD
video platform of Earth from space said it agreed to buy Elecnor, S.A.’s
Deimos Imaging Earth Observation business for a total of EUR74.2 million. UrtheCast
added that it has secured a loan of EUR37.5 million and is also selling 12.5
million subscription receipts for a total of roughly C$50 million to finance
the acquisition.
Meanwhile,
residential solar services provider OneRoof
Energy Group, Inc. (TSXV:
ON) reported that its wholly-owned subsidiary and Fry’s Electronics will
partner to install kiosks in select Fry’s stores aimed at giving customers the
opportunity to learn how easy and affordable it is “to go
solar.” OneRoof Energy stock popped 16% to $0.185 following the announcement.
