Resource Junior Makes Gains on Drill Results

Base metals assays sparked a bit of speculation in shares of a resource junior Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 (as of 4 pm EST):

Talon Metals Corp. (TSX:TLO) shares jumped 17% to $0.14 on Wednesday after the resource junior announced that it has received assays from another drill hole from its Winter 2020 exploration program at the Tamarack Nickel-Copper-Cobalt project in Minnesota, which included 7.14 meters grading 10.15% nickel equivalent.

As well, shares of Star Diamond Corporation (TSX:DIAM) climbed 16% $0.32 as the junior explorer said its injunction application against Rio Tinto Exploration Canada Inc. is currently scheduled to be heard by the Court of Queen’s Bench for Saskatchewan on June 29 and 30, 2020.

Covalon Technologies Ltd. (TSXV:COV), meanwhile, reported that it has been granted what the Company called “key” antimicrobial patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, and the European Patent Office. Covalon Technologies stock moved up 16% to $1.82 following the announcement.
