Resource Junior Slides on Production Halt: Today’s Canadian Small Cap Market Movers

Victory Nickel Inc. (TSX: NI)
shares fell 26% to $0.085 on Tuesday after the junior resource company announced
that frac sand sales during the first quarter of 2015 have been slower than
anticipated and, thus, it has temporarily suspended production at its Seven
Persons, Alberta frac sand plant.  

As well, shares
of Espial Group, Inc. (TSX: ESP)
rose 5% to $4.19 as the supplier of digital TV and IPTV software and solutions
said Michael T Hayashi, former Time Warner Cable Executive Vice President,
Architecture, Development & Engineering, has been appointed to Espial’s Board
of Directors effective immediately.

Naturally Splendid Enterprises Ltd. (TSXV: NSP),
meanwhile, reported that it has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with
Laguna Blends Inc. Under the terms of the LOI, Laguna and NSP plan to
enter into a research, development and manufacturing agreement for the purpose
of pursuing mutually beneficial business opportunities in the hemp food
products area. Naturally Splendid Enterprises stock eased 11% to $0.84
following the announcement.
