Select Sands Corp. (CVE:SNS), a resource junior, rose after agreeing to buy some frac sands production assets

A frac sands asset deal powered up a resource junior Tuesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 (as of 4 pm EST):

Resource junior Select Sands Corp. (CVE:SNS) shares climbed 13% to $0.77 on Wednesday after the frac sand producer announced that it has entered into a binding agreement with Tutle Holding, LLC and Steve Hackmann, Ozark Premium Sand, LLC (OPS) to purchase certain of OPS’s equipment and shall have the option to purchase OPS’s dry processing plant, operating equipment, saleable inventory, and customer lists amongst other miscellaneous assets owned by OPS.

As well, shares of Saint Jean Carbon Inc. (CVE:SJL) gained 17% to $0.035 as the explorer of natural graphite properties said it has produced two samples of single layer graphene dispersion, which was produced without any chemicals or any mechanical systems that would harm the high order of carbon structure and wettability.

K92 Mining Inc. (CVE:KNT), meanwhile, reported that gold production has begun from the Irumafimpa Gold Deposit in Papua New Guinea. K92 Mining stock moved up 4% to $1.36 following the announcement.
