A big money Sprott investment boosted shares of a precious metals junior Friday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Friday, August 7, 2020 (as of 4 pm EST):

Nubian Resources Ltd. (TSXV:NBR) shares surged 40% to $0.66 on Friday after the precious metals junior announced that Eric Sprott will make a $4.2 million investment in the Company via a non-brokered private placement at a price of $0.42 per unit.

As well, shares of Gatekeeper Systems Inc. (TSXV:GSI) powered 24% higher to $0.62 as the provider of video solutions for public transport and smart cities said it has been contracted by a school district in the U.S. to equip about 40 of their schools with Intelligent Temperature Sensing Systems that will measure the body temperature of students before entering schools.

Optiva, Inc. (TSX:OPT), meanwhile, reported that it has been informed by ESW Capital, LLC that it is firmly committed to its offer to acquire OPT at a price of C$60 per share. Optiva stock popped 37% to $55.99 following the announcement.

Finally, Trevali Mining Corporation (TSX:TV) shares gained 14% to $0.125 after the zinc miner announced that it expects to realize lower all-in-sustaining costs for the remainder of 2020.
