Potash Junior Powers Higher on Offtake Update: Today’s Canadian Small Cap Market Movers

stocks making big moves on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 (as of 4 pm EST), as

Encanto Potash Corp. (TSXV:
EPO
) shares continued to move higher Tuesday, up 42% to $0.135 on volume of
more than 5.2 million shares. On Monday, shares of the potash junior rose 6%
after the company said it “anticipates a favourable response” from India’s
Fertilizer Consortium in regards to a long-term potash offtake proposal that has
been negotiated.  

As well,
shares of Colt Resources Inc. (TSXV: GTP)
shot up 29% to $0.20 as the mineral properties developer announced the
appointment of Sabri Karahan to its Board of Directors. Mr. Karahan is a mining
engineer and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of DAMA Engineering of
Ankara, Turkey.

Lucara Diamond Corp. (TSX:
LUC
), meanwhile, reported that it has recovered a 341.9 carat gem quality
diamond from its Karowe Mine in Botswana. Lucara Diamond stock moved up 6%
to $1.95 following the announcement.

Finally, Metalex Ventures Ltd. (TSXV:
MTX
) shares jumped 18% to $0.10 after the junior explorer said that the
permits required for the collection of the 10,000 ton bulk sample of the U2
kimberlite have now been received. The U2 kimberlite pipe is a diamond
development project located in the James Bay Lowlands of Ontario, near De
Beers’ Victor Mine.
