Media Stock Climbs on ‘Cruise’ Control: Today’s Canadian Small Cap Market Movers

Mood Media Corporation (TSX:
MM
) shares gained 8% to $0.72 on volume of more than 1.6 million shares
Thursday after the designer of in-store consumer experiences, including audio,
visual, interactive, scent, voice and advertising solutions announced the
extension of its partnership with Royal Caribbean International for their new
Quantum Class ships, in which Mood would be the sole provider for all the
on-board, overhead music.

As well,
shares of DragonWave Inc. (TSX:
DWI
) jumped as much as 10% as the global supplier of packet microwave radio
systems for mobile and access networks said it has received follow-on purchase
orders for Horizon Compact+ radio systems from a major Indian Telecom and
Broadband Service Provider.

Gale Force Petroleum Inc. (TSXV: GFP),
meanwhile, reported that it has concluded the sale of an 80% working interest
in its Pine Mills properties in Wood County, Texas. The sale price received for
the sold interests was US$2 million plus the company is entitled to a carry of
its retained working interests for up to $1 million over the next four
years. Gale Force Petroleum stock moved up 125% to $0.045 following the announcement.
