Lithium Junior Jumps on Project Expansion

NRG Metals Inc. (TSXV: NGZ), a lithium junior, charged higher after announcing the expansion of the Carachi Pampa Lithium Project in Argentina

More than a few speculators put a charge into a lithium junior Tuesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):

NRG Metals Inc. (TSXV: NGZ) shares powered 73% higher to $0.19 on Tuesday after the lithium junior announced the expansion of the Carachi Pampa Lithium Project in Argentina to a total of 29,182 hectares, which now comprises most of the Carachi Pampa basin.

As well, shares of Unigold Inc. (TSXV: UGD) plunged 35% to $0.185 as the gold explorer warned that it could lose its rights to explore its flagship Neita Property in the Dominican Republic following a decision by that country’s General Mines Director.

ECN Capital Corp. (TSX: ECN), meanwhile, reported that it has entered into an agreement with PNC Financial Services Group to sell its US Commercial and Vendor (C&V) Finance business for cash proceeds of approximately US$1.253 billion. ECN Capital stock popped 14% to $3.64 following the announcement.

Finally, First Global Data (TSXV: FGD) shares climbed 39% to $0.90 after the international financial services technology company announced that its Vpayqwik service launched in partnership with Vijaya Bank is now accepted nationally across India at all retail locations.
