Pure Energy Minerals Limited (TSXV:
PE) shares climbed 13% to $0.315 on volume of more than 2.3 million shares
Wednesday as the resource project developer announced that it has filed a resource
estimate for its Clayton Valley Lithium Brine Project in Nevada, which outlines
an Inferred resource of 816,000 metric tonnes of Lithium Carbonate
Equivalent.
As well,
shares of Tamarack Valley Energy Ltd.
(TSXV:
TVE) rose 7% to $2.81 as the oil and gas producer/explorer said that despite
the reduction in its capital program, the company still expects to average its
previously announced guidance of 8,000 to 8,200 boe/d in 2015.
Calfrac Well Services Ltd. (TSX:
CFW), meanwhile, reported that it is endeavoring to restructure its
business in order to be profitable in a lower commodity price environment and
believes the impact of cost saving initiatives implemented across the company
will increase as the year progresses. Calfrac stock moved up 11% to $6.35 following the announcement.
