Near-surface results put a charge in shares of a lithium explorer Friday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Friday, October 21, 2016 (as of 4 pm EST):
Macarthur Minerals Limited (CVE:MMS) shares powered 36% higher to $0.075 on Friday after the lithium explorer announced that it has located lithium near surface in the Lida Valley, Nevada, the basin adjacent to the Clayton Valley. All nine shallow auger drill holes reported lithium, with grades up to 145.5 parts per million lithium from near surface sediment.
As well, shares of Darnley Bay Resources Limited (CVE:DBL) climbed 41% to $0.225 as the resource junior said it has agreed to purchase Tamerlane Ventures’ former producing Pine Point assets located 42 kilometers east of Hay River, N.W.T., which contains 42 known zinc-lead deposits over a strike length of approximately 68 kilometres.
Celestica Inc. (TSE:CLS), meanwhile, reported third-quarter financial results that surpassed analyst estimates for both revenue and earnings. Celestica stock moved up 11% to $15.30 following the announcement.
Finally, Concordia International Corp. (TSE:CXR) shares gained 14% to $5.98 after the specialty pharmaceutical company announced that Mark Thompson will step down as Chief Executive Officer of the Company following the appointment of a successor.
