Lithium Explorer Charges Up on Drilling Announcement

Alset Energy Corp. (CVE:ION), a lithium explorer, moved higher after receiving the permits to begin drilling its La Salada lithium project in Mexico

A pending drill program sparked much speculation in a lithium explorer Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, March 23, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):

Alset Energy Corp. (TSXV: ION) shares climbed 41% to $0.155 on Thursday after the lithium explorer announced that it has received the necessary permits to commence drilling at its La Salada lithium project near Zacatecas, Mexico, following the completion of an environmental report.

As well, shares of Molori Energy Inc. (TSXV: MOL) jumped 24% to $0.335 as the oil and gas production company said it has successfully returned to production the State A and State C leases in Hutchinson County, Texas during the past 60 days.

Immunotec Inc. (TSXV: IMM), meanwhile, reported that it has agreed to be acquired by a subsidiary of Immuno Holding S.A. de C.V. for $0.485 per share in cash. Immunotec stock popped 20% to $0.475 following the announcement.

Finally, Secova Metals Corp. (TSXV: SEK) shares rose 7% to $0.08 after the gold junior announced that it has increased its land position within the Windfall Lake district of Quebec by 16,500.55 hectares through the acquisition of a private B.C. company for a purchase price of $40,000 plus nine million Secova Metals shares.
