Lithium Explorer Powers Up on Drill Results

Brine results was good news for shareholders of a lithium explorer Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):

Bearing Resources Ltd. (TSXV: BRZ) shares surged 20% to $1.39 on Wednesday after the lithium explorer announced drill results from the ongoing exploration program at the Maricunga lithium brine project in Chile, which averaged 1,382 mg/l lithium and 11,041 mg/l potassium over a 168-metre sample interval (from 5 metres to 173 metres).

As well, shares of DataWind Inc. (TSX: DW) slid 22% to $0.47 as the emerging markets Internet access provider said its third-quarter revenue fell to $6.9 million from $15.5 million during the same period last year.

VersaPay Corporation (TSXV: VPY), meanwhile, reported that Intuit Inc. has implemented VersaPay ARCTM for select small business and accountant customers. VersaPay stock popped 12% to $1.45 following the announcement.

Finally, Noram Ventures Inc. (TSXV: NRM) shares gained 20% to $0.06 after the lithium junior and Alba Minerals announced initial sample results from the first 10 holes of the 46-hole Phase I core drilling program that focused on the Zeus portion of its Clayton Valley Lithium Project in Nevada. The lithium content of the 116 samples had an interval-weighted average of 1,087.1 ppm with a minimum value of 600 ppm and a maximum value of 2,320 ppm, both over 1.22 metre intersections, which Noram called the “highest lithium values to date.”
