Life Sciences Stock Soars, Hits New High: U.S. Daily Market Movers

Cambrex Corporation (NYSE: CBM) shares shot
up 28% to $30.01 on Friday after the global life sciences company reported
fourth quarter adjusted income from continuing operations of $0.64 per share, compared
to $0.36 per share during the same period last year. Analysts expected EPS of
$0.50. The company expects to report full year 2015 adjusted income from
continuing operations of $1.62 to $1.75 per share. The consensus estimate is
for EPS of $1.32.

As well,
shares of Spanish Broadcasting System
Inc.
(NASDAQ:
SBSA
) shot up 14% to $3.02 after the radio network announced
the highly anticipated return of award-winning Latino radio talent, Luis
Jimenez, to weekday mornings on WPAT-FM (Amor 93.1FM). Jimenez has long been a
mainstay of popular, cutting-edge Latino humor, having previously ranked #1 in
the overall New York radio ratings as host of “El Vacilon de la
Manana” (“the Morning Jive”) on sister station WSKQ-FM (Mega
97.9 FM) during the past two decades.

Rentrak Corporation (NASDAQ: RENT) stock,
meanwhile, plummeted 30% to $56.62 following weak Q3 results. For the third
quarter, the media measurement and research company reported EPS of $0.09 on
revenue of $26.87 million. Following the release, analysts at Wunderlich
Securities downgraded shares of Rentrak from ‘Buy’ to ‘Hold’ and lowered the
price target from $93 to $60 per share. Analysts at the firm downgraded the
stock due to the company’s downbeat third-quarter earnings call.
