Newmarket Gold Inc. (TSE:NMI), a junior miner, jumped after announcing drill results from its Fosterville Gold Mine in Australia

Visible gold was a sight to behold for shareholders of one junior miner Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 (as of 4 pm EST):
Newmarket Gold Inc. (TSE:NMI) shares climbed 6% to $4.14 on Wednesday after the junior miner announced drill results containing visible gold mineralization from an additional 17 underground holes, totaling 6,376 meters, at the Fosterville Gold Mine in Australia, which included 64.8 g/t gold over 4.5 metres.
As well, shares of Niko Resources Ltd. (TSE:NKO) slid 26% to $0.13 as the oil and gas producer/explorer refuted a media report out of India that claimed the Company raised $300 million using KG‐D6 block as mortgage. Niko called the statement “entirely false.”
Dalradian Resources Inc. (TSE:DNA), meanwhile, reported preliminary results from two test stopes at its Curraghinalt Gold Project in Northern Ireland, which recovered 54% more gold than predicted in the Resource Model. Dalradian Resources stock moved up 5% to $1.59 following the announcement.
Finally, Maple Leaf Green World (CVE:MGW) shares jumped 22% to $0.33 after the agricultural and environmental company announced that it has retained the services of a Las Vegas based law firm to assist it in its negotiations to acquire or work with existing Medical Marijuana Establishment licensees in the areas of marijuana cultivation, production and distribution, as part of the Company’s expansion plans into Nevada and California.
