Junior Gold Miner Shines on Production Update

Newmarket Gold Inc. (TSE:NMI), a junior gold miner, moved up after announcing record gold production

Record production revved up shares of a junior gold miner Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, November 3, 2016 (as of 4 pm EST):

Newmarket Gold Inc. (TSE:NMI) shares rose 4% to $4 on Thursday after the junior gold miner announced record production of 175,041 ounces of gold for the first nine months of 2016, with YTD AISC per ounce sold of US$743.

As well, shares of DATA Communications Management Corp. (TSE:DCM) plunged 51% to $2.15 as the business communications provider said its Q3 revenue fell 11.2% year over year to $65.8 million, while adjusted EBITDA for the quarter decreased by 5.3% to $12.1 million.

HIT Technologies Inc. (CVE:HIT), meanwhile, reported that it will be launching its newest HITCASE, the SHIELD for iPhone 6 and 7 into 64 Best Buy stores across Canada in time for the holiday buying season. HIT Technologies stock moved up 10% to $0.055 following the announcement.

In addition, shares of Rainmaker Resources Ltd. (CVE:RIR) gained 22% to $0.11 as the mineral exploration company said it has successfully completed its first NI 43-101 Exploration Target Technical Report for the Sarcobatus Flat Lithium project in Nevada, which the Company claims indicates “very positive exploration potential exists on the property, with high lithium content and a geologic setting similar to that of nearby producing lithium brine deposits.”

Finally, exactEarth Ltd. (TSE:XCT) shares jumped 12% to $1.57 after the provider of Satellite AIS data services announced that it has been awarded a four-year, $2.7 million (including taxes) contract by MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. to provide AIS data processing services for the Canadian Department of National Defence’s Polar Epsilon 2 project.
