A Quebec lithium deal power up shares of a junior explorer Tuesday, while a WiFi play connected with more than a few investors. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 (as of 4 pm EST):
Junior explorer Hinterland Metals Inc. (CVE:HMI) gained 20% to $0.06 on Tuesday after announcing that it has signed a Letter of Intent with Beaufield Resources Inc., whereby Hinterland may earn an interest in the lithium rights attached to Beaufield’s Troilus property in Quebec. The Troilus claims completely surround the Moblan lithium development project held by Perilya Ltd. and Soquem Inc.
As well, shares of Mawson Resources Limited (TSE:MAW) slipped 14% to $0.255 as the resource junior provided details of the summer exploration program at its Rompas-Rajapalot gold project in Finland.
Maverix Metals Inc. (CVE:MMX), meanwhile, reported that it has closed the previously-announced plan of arrangement pursuant to which Maverix acquired 13 royalties, precious metals streams and payment agreements from Pan American Silver Corp. As a result of this transaction, Pan American will own 42.85 million Maverix Metals common shares and 20 million common share purchase warrants out of a total of 75,929,091 post consolidation common shares of Maverix.
In addition, shares of Gatekeeper Systems Inc. (CVE:GSI) rose 13% to $0.18 as the provider of mobile video security solutions said its third-quarter revenue surged 113% to $3.1 million, while swinging to a profit of $322,078 from a loss of $215,984 during the same period last year.
Finally, Edgewater Wireless Systems Inc. (CVE:YFI) shares climbed 33% to $0.285 after the manufacturer of high-density next generation WiFi technology announced that it has partnered with EION Wireless to develop of a high capacity EION small cell solution with integrated multi-channel WiFi.
