Junior Explorer Moves Higher on Gold Sample Assays

Gold assays from a junior explorer caught the attention of a few speculators Friday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Friday, January 20, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):

Natan Resources Ltd. (TSXV: NRL) shares rose 19% to $0.25 on Friday after the junior explorer and Globex Mining Enterprises Inc. (TSX: GMX) announced channel sample assays of up to 438.23 grams per tonne (g/t) gold at the Montalembert Gold Property in Quebec. Natan has acquired the right to earn a 100% interest in the Montalembert Property.

As well, shares of Trinidad Drilling Ltd. (TSX: TDG) slipped 6% to $3.15 as the energy services company said that, due to strong demand, it has increased the size of its previously-announced offering to 41,269,841 common shares at a price of $3.15 per share for total gross proceeds of approximately $130 million.

Golden Predator Mining Corp. (TSXV: GPY) stock, meanwhile, continued to move higher Friday, up 5% to $0.99. On Thursday, the gold junior’s share price advanced 24% after releasing assay results for the first 13 holes of a total of 54 holes completed in the winter 2016 drill program at the 3 Aces Project in Yukon, which included 7.54 metres of 32.86 g/t gold.

Finally, Focus Graphite Inc. (TSXV: FMS) shares climbed 13% to $0.09 after the graphite explorer announced results from the Company’s 2016 infill and extension drilling program at its wholly-owned Lac Tétépisca Graphite Project in Québec, which included 102.1 metres grading 10.7% Cg (Graphitic Carbon).
