The folks over at Cambridge House International are known to host some of the most engaging and innovative investor conferences, such as the Vancouver Resource Investor Conference (VRIC), Cantech and many more. This year they are hosting the International Mining Investor Conference (IMIC) on May 15th and 16th, 2018 with over 80 publicly-traded mining companies, 3,000 investors and an impressive line up of speakers and panelists.
The difference between VRIC and IMIC is not just about the scale of the event. While the IMIC will have the appeal of a big conference-style setting it will also focus on providing an intimate format to know the CEOs of the presenting companies on a more personal level.
A testament to that focus is the Deal Room, allowing exhibitors to book one-on-one meetings with pre-qualified investors. The format has received a tremendously positive response from exhibitors since Cambridge House first launched it in 2017. Investing in the junior mining space is inherently risky, thus the Deal Room allows investors to ask the CEOs and executives of the exhibiting companies questions that will help rationalize their decision making.
Jay Martin, President of Cambridge House International, believes that “the market is at a sweet spot,” and that one of the exciting themes that investors should look at would be the battery metals sector. He adds, “there has been an absolute surge in interest energy metals so at this conference battery technology and electricity generation will be getting a special focus…we also have precious metals and every quality of uranium deal in the country can be expected at the show.”
One of the themes at this year’s event is the ‘Future of Energy’. The event will be integrating the Benchmark Minerals Intelligence World Tour at the conference on May 16th. Steve Davidson, Vice President and Director of Mining Content at Cambridge House, urges investors to capitalize on the opportunity and “listen to the smartest money in the room.”
The event boasts of some of the biggest minds in the sector, including Frank Holmes, Peter Schiff, Brent Cook, Ralph Aldis, Keith Schaefer, and many more.
SmallCapPower’s very own Chris Thompson, Head of Research at Ubika Research, will be moderating a panel discussion with some of these experts! The theme of the panel discussion is “Where is the Mining Capital Going in 2018/19.” Investors can see the experts touching upon the hottest commodities, types of projects that senior mining companies are looking for and a few stock picks too.
