Green Tech Stock Surges on Test Results: Today’s Canadian Small Cap Market Movers

CO2Solutions Inc. (TSXV:
CST
) shares powered 112% higher to $0.18 on volume of more than 4.3 million
shares Thursday after the provider of enzyme-enabled carbon capture technology announced
results of the pilot testing of CO2Solutions’ carbon capture
process, completed in January 2015. Highlights included a cost estimate of
approximately $39 per tonne of CO2, along with significantly reduced
power plant retrofit costs.

As well,
shares of Neptune Technologies &
Bioressources Inc.
(TSX: NTB) slipped 10% to $1.85 as the developer of
marine-derived omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids said its Chief
Financial Officer has left the company, effective immediately.

Electrovaya Inc. (TSX:
EFL
) stock, meanwhile, continued to move higher Thursday, up 42% to $0.74.
On Wednesday, Electrovaya shares jumped 39% after the company reported that it
has completed the acquisition of Evonik Litarion GmbH and licensing of Separion
intellectual property. Evonik has what the company calls one of the most advanced
and automated production plants for lithium ion electrodes and ceramic
composite separators. Separion is a proprietary ceramic composite
separator for lithium ion battery applications.

Finally, Mission Ready Services Inc. (TSXV:
MRS
) shares rose 10% to $0.22 after the company announced the development
of an electric shock sleeve for riot shields that utilizes Mission Ready’s
patented No-Contact technology.
