Exploration concessions next to a big mine was great news for a gold penny stock Friday, while financial results hurt a printing play. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Friday, June 10, 2016 (as of 4 pm EST):
Everton Resources Inc. (CVE:EVR) shares powered 17% higher to $0.07 on Friday after the gold penny stock explorer announced that it has been granted three key exploration concessions in the Dominican Republic, two of which are immediately adjacent to the concession that hosts Barrick Gold/Goldcorp’s Pueblo Viejo gold mine.
As well, shares of Transcontinental Inc. (TSE:TCL.A) slipped 10% to $17.28 as the print, flexible packaging, publishing and digital media provider said its second-quarter adjusted net earnings fell 12.5% to $34.2 million.
Noram Ventures Inc. (CVE:NRM), meanwhile, reported initial sampling results from the 100% owned South Block Extension of its Clayton Valley Lithium Project in Nevada, which included assays ranging from 49 to 760 ppm Li with an average value of 289 ppm Li. Noram Ventures stock moved up 21% to $0.085 following the announcement.
Finally, Clarke Inc. (TSE:CKI) shares climbed 8% to $10.90 after the investment fund declared a special dividend of $2.00 per share, payable on June 27, 2016, to shareholders of record at the end of business on June 16, 2016. The Company, though, will cease paying a regular quarterly dividend following its July 15, 2016, distribution.
