A big potential Barrick Gold investment boosted a tiny gold explorer Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, November 10, 2016 (as of 4 pm EST):
Carlin Gold Corporation (CVE:CGD) shares jumped 100% to $0.06 on Thursday after the gold explorer announced that it has entered into an Exploration and Earn-In agreement with Barrick Gold Exploration Inc. on Carlin’s Cortez Summit property in Nevada. Barrick has the right to earn a 70% interest in the Property by making expenditures totaling US$5 million by December 31, 2020.
As well, shares of Bird Construction Inc. (TSE:BDT) slipped 13% to $9.01 as the general contractor said it will reduce its monthly dividend by 49% to $0.0325 per share.
Pacific Safety Products Inc. (CVE:PSP), meanwhile, reported that it has agreed to be acquired by Med-Eng Holdings ULC, a Canadian wholly-owned subsidiary of Safariland, LLC, for $0.21 per share in cash. Pacific Safety Products stock popped 21% to $0.205 following the announcement.
Finally, American Manganese Inc. (CVE:AMY) shares powered 66% higher to $0.265 after the specialty and critical metal company announced that Phase 3 testing confirms that rechargeable lithium-ion battery coin cells can be successfully produced from lithium-cobalt cathode material regenerated using American Manganese’s proprietary process.
