A gold explorer glistered Tuesday following the release of sample results. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):

Nexus Gold Corp. (TSXV: NXS) shares jumped 9% to $0.175 on Tuesday after the gold explorer announced that it has received gold assays from five further samples taken from its Niangouela gold project in Burkina Faso, Africa, which returned values of up to 403 grams per tonne (g/t) gold.

As well, shares of Pistol Bay Mining Inc. (TSXV: PST) gained 64% to $0.09 as the resource junior said Rio Tinto Exploration Canada Inc. has informed the Company that it is continuing with its exploration program on the C5 uranium property in Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin.

First Global Data Limited (TSXV: FGD), meanwhile, reported that more than 400 movie cinemas and food courts across India will be accepting the VPayQwik mobile app as a payment method. First Global Data stock moved up 19% to $0.31 following the announcement.

Finally, Lithium Energy Products Inc. (TSXV: LEP) shares rose 7% to $0.08 after the lithium junior announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Shenzhen Optimum Nano Energy Co. Ltd for 500 tonnes per month industrial grade lithium carbonate.
