Gold Explorer Surges on Drill Results

Roscan Gold Corporation (TSXV:ROS), a gold explorer, climbed after announcing results from its Kandiole Gold Project

West African drill results attracted more than a few speculators to shares of a gold explorer Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, February 27, 2020 (as of 4 pm EST):

Roscan Gold Corporation (TSXV:ROS) shares jumped 25% to $0.175 on Thursday after the gold explorer announced drill results for the first 50 holes at its 100%-owned Kandiole Gold Project in Mali, West Africa, which included 3.18 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 88.0 metres.

As well, shares of NervGen Pharma Corp. (TSXV:NGEN) sank 29% to $2.18 as the regenerative medicine company said it has decided to delay the initiation of its Phase 1 clinical study from Q1 2020 to Q4 2020, after reviewing comments received from the FDA on the Company’s recently-submitted Investigational New Drug application.

MacDonald Mines Exploration Ltd. (TSXV:BMK), meanwhile, reported initial 2020 definition drilling results from the North Pit area on the Scadding Deposit at its SPJ Property northeast of Sudbury, Ontario, which included 59.2 g/t gold over 19.07 metres. MacDonald Mines stock popped 31% to $0.105 following the announcement.
