Gold Explorer Powers Higher on New Discovery

Investor interest in a gold explorer continued to build Friday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Friday, February 3, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):

Aurion Resources Ltd. (TSXV: AU) shares continue to surge Friday, up 54% to $1.60. Shares of the gold explorer gained 86% on Wednesday after announcing the discovery what it calls “new, bonanza grade gold mineralization” on its 100% owned Risti Project in Finland.

As well, shares of Fireswirl Technologies Inc. (TSXV: FSW) shot up 300% to $0.14 as the provider of electronic and mobile commerce solutions for content providers said it has agreed to acquire 60% of Hong Kong-based AMZON (HK) Limited for about C$1.2 million. AMZON is in the business of providing multimedia and interactive marketing solutions, specializing in 3D visualizations, computer graphics and digital design.

Guyana Goldfields Inc. (TSX: GUY) stock, meanwhile, continued to move higher, up 5% to $7.10. On Thursday, the gold miner reported results from an updated feasibility study on its Aurora Gold Mine, which showed a 15% increase in its Mineral reserves to 3.5 million ounces, as well as average annual production of 220,000 ounces over a 15-year mine life.

Finally, Immunovaccine Inc. (TSX: IMV) shares rose 9% to $0.89 after the clinical-stage vaccine and immunotherapy company announced that Pierre Labbé will join the Company as its Chief Financial Officer, effective February 20, 2017.
