Shares of an explorer heated up Monday following a deal in a popular Quebec gold district. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Monday, February 27, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):

Spearmint Resources Inc. (TSXV: SRJ) shares gained 33% to $0.04 on Monday after the explorer announced that it has agreed to acquire 23 claim units comprising 1294 hectares, which is prospective for gold, directly bordering Osisko Mining Inc., in the Windfall Lake Urban-Barry area of Quebec.

As well, shares of International Road Dynamics Inc. (TSX: IRD) slid 4% to $3.59 as the provider of systems and solutions for the global Intelligent Transportation Systems market said its fiscal 2016 revenue rose 13% to $65.4 million.

TrackX Holdings Inc. (TSXV: TKX), meanwhile, reported that its first-quarter revenue increased 505% to $1,633,191. TrackX Holdings stock moved up 6% to $0.52 following the announcement.

Finally, Orbite Technologies Inc. (TSX: ORT) shares rose 4% to $0.26 after the cleantech company announced that its high purity alumina (HPA) production has increased over the last two weeks and is approaching the Company’s intermediate production target of 1 tonne per day.
