Energy Junior Surges on Takeover Offer

Yoho Resources Inc. (CVE:YO), an energy junior, climbed after announcing that it has agreed to be acquired by One Stone Energy Partners LP

A cash acquisition deal powered an energy junior Tuesday, while drill results tarnished a gold explorer. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 (as of 4 pm EST):

Energy junior Yoho Resources Inc. (CVE:YO) shot up 96% to $0.46 after announcing that it has agreed to be acquired by One Stone Energy Partners LP for $0.475 per share in cash.

As well, shares of Savary Gold Corp. (CVE:SCA) slid 25% to $0.105 as the mineral exploration company released drill results from the Karankasso JV Project in Burkina Faso, which included 3.82 g/t gold over 13.0 metres.

Montan Mining Corp. (CVE:MNY), meanwhile, reported that has reached an agreement to acquire an operational gold mine and plant in Peru, in consideration for 10 million Montan shares plus a potential 4 million more if certain gold sale targets are met. Montan Mining stock moved up 71% to $0.06 following the announcement.

In addition, shares of Gran Colombia Gold Corp. (TSE:GCM) gained 33% to $0.16 as the miner said it produced 38,229 ounces of gold in the second quarter of 2016, up 34% from the same period last year.

Finally, Colombian Mines Corporation (CVE:CMJ) shares climbed 57% to $0.22 as the gold explorer/developer announced that it has agreed to purchase the Pamlico gold project in Nevada from a private seller for US$4 million.
