Oncolytics Biotech Inc. (TSX:
ONC) shares powered 20% higher to $0.78 on Monday after the biotechnology
company announced final results from its REO 017 Phase 2 study for the
treatment of pancreatic cancer. “These data suggest that this drug
combination can increase median overall survival, as well as generate an
approximate two-fold increase in one-year survival rates, and a five-fold
increase in two-year survival rates when compared to gemcitabine therapy alone
as seen in historical data,” said Oncolytics COO Matt Coffey.
As well,
shares of CIBT Education Group Inc.
(TSX:
MBA) climbed 16% to $0.33 as the education management firm said it was
ranked 93rd among “Top 100 Public Companies in B.C.” by Business in Vancouver newspaper.
Kingsway Arms Retirement Residences Inc. (TSXV:
KWA), meanwhile, reported that it has entered into an agreement to sell
substantially all of its Aurora Assets for $5.4 million. Kingsway Arms stock
moved up 140% to $0.06 following the announcement.
