A blood sample processing agreement boosted a biotech junior Monday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Monday, September 19, 2016 (as of 4 pm EST):
GeneNews Limited (TSE:GEN) shares powered 41% higher to $0.275 on Monday after the biotech junior announced that it has entered into a partnership agreement with NueHealth, LLC, a privately-owned company that connects patients directly to physicians through integrated provider networks. GeneNews will process the blood samples for colorectal cancer, lung cancer and prostate cancer screening tests through its clinical reference laboratory in Richmond, Virginia.
As well, shares of Pangolin Diamonds Corp. (CVE:PAN) continued to slide Monday, down 17% to $0.05. On Friday, shares of the diamond explorer plunged 46% as the Company said material of interest from its wholly-owned Motloutse Diamond Project in Botswana has been analyzed by laboratories, which confirmed that no kimberlite was intersected.
Japan Gold Corp. (CVE:JG) stock, meanwhile, shot up 113% to $0.85 on the first day of trading following the July 6, 2016, announcement that the Company, formerly Sky Ridge Resources, will acquire Southern Arc Minerals Japan KK, becoming the first foreign mineral exploration company to focus solely on Japan. Japan Gold has filed 80 mineral prospecting license applications across eight distinct projects prospective for gold and porphyry mineralization.
Finally, SolidusGold Inc. (CVE:SDC) shares jumped 57% to $0.55 after the gold junior announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with Newmont USA Limited to acquire the Northumberland Project in Nevada for US$20 million.
