Biopharma Stock Climbs on Study Results

Aurinia Pharmaceuticals Inc. (TSE:AUP), a biopharma stock, moved up after announcing successful Phase IIb study results

Achieving primary and secondary endpoints boosted a small biopharma stock Friday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Friday, September 30, 2016 (as of 4 pm EST):

Biopharma stock Aurinia Pharmaceuticals Inc. (TSE:AUP) jumped 14% to $3.95 on Friday after announcing that in addition to voclosporin achieving its primary endpoint of Complete Remission at 24 weeks, both doses of voclosporin when added to the current standard of care of Mycophenolate Mofetil and a forced oral corticosteroid taper have met all 24-week pre-specified secondary endpoints vs the control group in its Phase IIb AURA-LV Study for Lupus Nephritis.

As well, shares of Gray Rock Resources Ltd. (CVE:GRK) gained 38% to $0.11 as the mineral exploration company said it has entered into a binding letter agreement with DeCoors Mining Corp. to acquire the Surprise Lake Property in British Columbia, consisting of 32 mineral claims and covering an area of 5,144 hectares, in return for 4.0 million Gray Rock common shares. The Surprise Lake Property covers two documented mineral occurrences on file with the British Columbia Geological Survey and the recent discovery in July, 2016, of visible gold in bedrock along Otter Creek.

Sage Gold Inc. (CVE:SGX), meanwhile, reported that it has executed a binding Term Sheet with Cartesian Royalty Holdings Pte Ltd. to provide the Company with a financing package of C$11.5 million to fund the development and restart of Sage Gold’s Clavos gold project in northern Ontario. Sage Gold stock popped 30% to $0.15 following the announcement.

Finally, EnerDynamic Hybrid Technologies Corp. (CVE:EHT) shares rose 5% to $0.105 after the company announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Enerdynamic Hybrid Technologies Inc., has supplied PowerStream, one of Ontario’s largest electricity distribution companies, a solar powered carport charging unit for testing at their facility in Barrie, Ontario.
