OPEC on September 14, 2015, predicted higher demand for crude oil next year. The global energy cartel said it expects demand for its product to average 30.31 million barrels per day (bpd), up 190,000 bpd from last month, despite a weak economic outlook from Latin America and China. OPEC also anticipates oil supply from non-member countries to increase by just 160,000 bpd next year, a sharp slowdown from growth of 880,000 bpd in 2015.
