Ubika Mining 20 is up 22% over the past year
Since January 9th, the Ubika Mining 20 (UM20) Index shed 4.4%, underperforming both its benchmarks as the TSX Mining Index corrected 1.4% while the TSX Venture Index edged slightly higher by 1.0%. Over the past year, however, the UM20 is up 22%. Sierra Metals Inc. (TSX: SMT) was the top-performing component company during the past two months, surging 72% after announcing plans to spin-out its 100% owned Las Lomas Project in Peru.
