The Ubika Gold 20 (UG20) Index surged more than 17% during the past month, ending January 09, 2015, outperforming both the TSX Venture Index (-2.1%) as well as the gold price (+2.6%) over the same time period. Of the 20 stocks included in the UG20 Index, 18 ended in positive territory and 16 reported double-digit growth. GoldQuest Mining Corp. (TSXV: GQC) was the top monthly performer, soaring more than 86%.
