For investors who are new to Cambridge House events, learning opportunities will be hosted in two formats – main stage events and the workshops. The main stage delves into macro and big-picture topics. While the workshops will get into the nitty gritty and inner workings of the capital markets including stock picks from experts, company presentations, industry updates and more. One of the mainstays of the Cambridge House events is the ‘Deal Room’ – which Jay Martin, President & CEO of Cambridge House International, calls a conference within a conference. The ‘Deal Room’ connects investors with CEOs of companies. At their past events the Deal Rooms have facilitated over a thousand one-on-one meetings between CEOs and investors.
Attendees can expect more than 70 Canadian tech companies from the fields of blockchain, cannabis, health tech, software, quantum computing, security investment, and even psychedelic therapy.
With the bust witnessed in the cryptocurrency and blockchain markets earlier this year, it is imperative for investors to navigate speculative markets and distinguish between bleeding edge and leading edge. When asked how the event would help investors in this regard, Jay Martin says “first and foremost, the event is about educating the investors by getting them to hear from finance managers about how they do their due diligence. Investors can lean on their expertise and learn about as many companies as they can to understand the industries better.”
Some of the event highlights include Christopher Wiley, the whistleblower and Former Director of Research for Cambridge Analytica and SCL Group. Mr. Wylie will discuss the future of data privacy and data harvesting in a fireside chat. The conference also boasts a wide range of speakers, including Grammy award winning producer RAC, who will be joined by Lucas James, Seeking Blue Records, and Jesse Grushack, co-founder of UJo Music, to discuss how blockchain technology is transforming the music industry.
