A simple Google news search for “oil spills” may surprise you, it certainly surprised me.
Robix Environmental Technologies Inc. (CSE:RZX), previously known as Robix Alternative Fuels, Inc, has recognized a worldwide market opportunity for effective containment, recovery, and disposal equipment in the oil recovery and oil spill protection industry.
The business model is focused on Robix becoming a large scale provider of services and/or equipment under leasing arrangements and they have two product lines that both use their patented technology to remove oil from the surface of the water.
The principles of the technology are two-fold: 1) The Oleophilic principle of physics – the basic affinity between oil and metal 2) The Bernoulli Effect – contra-rotating drums roughly one inch apart create a pumping action which lifts oil more effectively than other methods. Robix owns the patent 100% and does not have to pay any royalties.
The C Series is an oil spill recovery vessel capable of efficiently recovering oil in rough, debris laden sea conditions as well as lakes, rivers, and tailings ponds. Where other conventional mechanical oil recovery systems quite often fail in anything more than calm waters, the Robix C Series can operate in up to 8 foot waves. Captured oil is then stored in onboard holding tanks and it’s symmetrical design allows it to be pushed or pulled from either end, in either direction, for optimum recovery. The recovery rate of the C Series is in the 90-97% range which is significantly higher than traditional recovery rates recorded by the industry over the past two decades.
