Zinc Stock Soars on Guidance Update: Sean Mason’s Canadian Small Cap Market Movers

Some speculators
were thinking zinc Friday following some upbeat guidance while the prognosis
seems good for a healthcare play. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Friday,
October 9, 2015 (as of 4 pm EST):

Trevali Mining Corporation (TSX: TV) shares powered 59% higher to $0.66 on volume of
more than 9.2 million shares Friday after the zinc-focused, base metals mining company
announced record Q3 production from its Santander Mine in Peru and
increased its 2015 production guidance while lowering its cash-cost estimates
for the year.

As well,
shares of Mezzi Holdings Inc. (TSXV:
MZI
) rose 7% to $0.165 as the accessories maker with wireless connectivity
said its wholly-owned division MLine Cases has completed its first delivery of
wholesale orders totaling $31,236. The company added that further orders are
scheduled for delivery before the end of October.

Concordia Healthcare Corp. (TSX:
CXR
), meanwhile, provided an update on its acquisition of Amdipharm Mercury
Limited, saying that a major growth driver of the combined business over the
next three years is expected to be organic, volume-based growth opportunities
driven by AMCo’s pipeline of approximately 60 planned new product launches. Concordia
Healthcare stock moved up 5% to $47.86 following the announcement.
