Silver Junior Moves Higher on Assay Results

Kootenay Silver Inc. (TSXV:KTN), a silver junior, rose after announcing assay results from its Columba silver project

Mexican drill results attracted a few speculators to shares of a silver junior Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, December 12, 2019 (as of 4 pm EST):

Kootenay Silver Inc. (TSXV:KTN) shares gained 5% to $0.23 on Thursday after the silver junior announced assay results from six core drill holes recently completed on the E and J Veins at its Columba silver project in Mexico, which included 721 g/t silver over 4 meters and 415 g/t silver over 11.5 meters.

As well, shares of Gitennes Exploration Inc. (TSXV:GIT) sank 57% to $0.015 as the gold explorer said it has received results from the recently-completed 2,000 metre Phase III diamond drilling on its Snowbird Gold Project in British Columbia, which included 19.3 g/t gold and 33.5 g/t silver over 0.6 metres.

The Becker Milk Company Limited (TSX:BEK.B), meanwhile, reported that it plans to pay a special dividend of $2.00 per share on January 20, 2020, to those shareholders of record as of December 30, 2019. The Becker Milk Company stock moved up 11% to $15.40 following the announcement.

Finally, 48North Cannabis Corp. (TSXV:NRTH) shares rose 5% to $0.35 after the Canadian cannabis company announced that third-party laboratory testing has confirmed its first outdoor harvest yielded high-quality, high-THC and CBD cannabis.
