Mexican drill results boosted shares of a silver explorer Monday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Monday, July 20, 2020 (as of 4 pm EST):

Discovery Metals Corp. (TSXV:DSV) shares jumped 9% to $1.31 on Monday after the silver explorer announced results from eight diamond drill holes completed at its flagship Cordero project in Mexico, which included 1.4 metres averaging 1,907 grams per tonne (g/t) silver equivalent.

As well, shares of Loop Insights Inc. (TSXV:MTRX) gained as much as 11% as the provider of artificial intelligence services and IoT solutions to the brick and mortar retail industry said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ImagineAR, an Augmented Reality mobile platform, for the integration of each company’s respective technologies into a singular platform that will deliver personalized promotions and targeted engagement.

Spanish Mountain Gold Ltd. (TSXV:SPA), meanwhile, reported that Eric Sprott has agreed to invest $5 million into the Company via a private placement at a price of $0.30 per unit. Spanish Mountain Gold stock popped 29% to $0.45 following the announcement.
