A big money purchase notice boosted shares of a resource junior Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, February 14, 2019 (as of 4 pm EST):
Ucore Rare Metals Inc. (TSXV:UCU) shares jumped 35% to $0.155 on Thursday after the resource junior announced that it has issued a Notice of Commencement to acquire 100% of IBC Advanced Technologies, Inc. for a purchase price of US$10 million to be paid in either cash or shares of Ucore, at the discretion of each IBC shareholder.
As well, shares of Sierra Wireless, Inc. (TSX:SW) slid 27% to $15.06 as the embedded and networking solutions provider revealed fourth-quarter financial results that fell short of analyst expectations and its Q1 revenue guidance of $170 million to $174 million also missed estimates.
Gatekeeper Systems Inc. (TSXV:GSI), meanwhile, reported that it has received a new purchase order of approximately C$2 million from the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority. Gatekeeper Systems stock moved up 17% to $0.105 following the announcement.
