High-grade gold results sparked much speculation in shares of a resource junior Tuesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 (as of 4 pm EST):
QMX Gold Corporation (TSXV:QMX) shares powered 81% higher to $0.335 on Tuesday after the resource junior announced results from the ongoing exploration drilling program on the Bonnefond Deposit in Quebec, which included 6.48 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 73.2 metres.
As well, shares of Ceapro Inc. (TSXV:CZO) gained 22% to $0.84 as the biotechnology company said the first milestone of its ongoing collaboration with McMaster University to develop an inhalable therapeutic for COVID-19 was fully achieved and the second milestone is near completion.
QX Metals Corp. (TSXV:QX) stock, meanwhile, slipped 17% to $0.355 a day after the Company reported that it will acquire 100% of the Big Balds Gold project in Nevada, located less than 10km west of the Bald Mountain Mine. Shares of QX Metals jumped 70% on Monday.
