Max Resource Corp. (TSXV:MXR), a resource junior, rose after announcing copper and silver assay results

High-grade copper/silver sample results sparked investor interest in shares of a resource junior Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 (as of 4 pm EST):

Max Resource Corp. (TSXV:MXR) shares jumped 25% to $0.10 on Wednesday after the resource junior announced what it called a “high-grade outcrop discovery” within AM North’s flat-lying, stratabound copper + silver mineralized system at its CESAR copper/silver project in Colombia. Assays from AMN-2 returned 24.8% copper plus 230 g/t silver from a four-metre by one-metre rock chip panel.

As well, shares of Eastern Platinum Limited (TSX:ELR) slid 19% to $0.285 as the platinum group metals company said it has recently become aware of a further claim filed by 2538520 and its CEO, Rong Kai Hong, (Plaintiffs) regarding various allegations, including that the Company was acting to oppress the Plaintiffs’ rights among other claims.

Vaxil Bio Ltd. (TSXV:VXL), meanwhile, reported that the World Health Organization has included Vaxil in a list of companies and institutions working on a coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine candidate. Vaxil Bio stock moved up as much as 15% before ending the day down 4% at $0.13 following the announcement.
