Progress on a zinc project was good news for shareholders of a resource junior Friday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Friday, February 2, 2018 (as of 4 pm EST):
Esrey Resources Ltd. (TSXV:ESR) shares climbed 20% to $0.30 on Friday after the resource junior announced the receipt of an environmental permit as well as initial zinc production at its project in Macedonia.
As well, shares of Engagement Labs (TSXV:EL) jumped 32% to $0.25 as the company said it has signed an agreement with a leading U.S.-based Fortune 500 financial services company for TotalSocial, Engagement Labs’ proprietary data and analytics platform. The contract amount is US$360,000 for one year.
Avigilon Corporation (TSX:AVO), meanwhile, reported that it has agreed to be acquired by Motorola Solutions for C$27 per share in cash, or an enterprise value of approximately US$1.0 billion including Avigilon’s net debt. Avigilon stock popped 18% to $27 following the announcement.
