Gold and silver grab sample results pushed up shares of a precious metals project generator Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 (as of 4 pm EST):
Goliath Resources Limited (TSXV:GOT) shares rose 18% to $0.10 on Wednesday after the precious metals project generator announced channel, chip, and grab sample assay results of up to 15.75 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 1845 g/t silver over one metre at the Cloud 9 Zone at the DSM Skyhigh property in British Columbia, in which Goliath Resources owns a 10% interest.
As well, shares of Roots (TSX:ROOT) slid 23% to $3.52 as the retailer said its third-quarter total sales slipped 3% to $87.0 million and that it is revising downward its previously-stated fiscal 2019 financial targets.
CUV Ventures Corp. (TSXV:CUV) stock, meanwhile, continued to move higher Wednesday, up 4% to $0.145 following a 87% gain on Tuesday, after reporting that it has signed an agreement to permit owners or agents of bed & breakfasts and small hotels featured on Expedia and Booking Holdings branded websites to settle Virtual Credit Card payments received from the aforementioned online travel agents using a special merchant RevoluPAY e-Wallet.
Finally, CGX Energy Inc. (TSXV:OYL) shares added 28% at $0.37 after the oil and gas explorer announced a strategic joint venture with Frontera Energy Corporation (TSX:FEC), enabling CGX to finance the drilling costs related to two shallow water offshore blocks in Guyana.
